Beginning today, each group will compose a script for a podcast using researched information and readings from the Revolutionary War era. You will find the information below as links describing the two sides in the conflict. Assignment is due October 14-15. So that your group can work collaboratively, access your Google account and as a group create a document that allows all group members to work on the script.

Tea Act/Boston Tea Party Declaration of Independence

Coercive Acts/Intolerable Acts Stamp Act/Boycotts

  1. Create 1 Moderator question for each event. This question needs to start the discussion between the 2 perspectives. This is an open-ended question.
  1. Research each event using your reading, your textbook, and the internet to learn as much as possible about the events. To find information on your event, go to these places:

  1. Homework – Use your research to write your section of the script.

Moderator – Your script is a factual summary of the events. It should include the details of who, what, when, and where.

Loyalist (British) Perspective – This part of the script needs to discuss the events as the British would see them.

Patriot (Colonial) Perspective – This part of the script needs to discuss the events as the patriots who supported independence would see them.

Thursday/Friday – October 14-15

  1. Revise and practice your script.
  1. Create intro and outro for podcast. Each of these should be NO LONGER than 15 seconds. DO NOT SPEND MORE THAN 10 MINUTES TOTAL CREATING THESE.
  1. Record your podcast.
  1. 4. COMPLETED PODCAST IS DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD.
